The Texas Rangers turned back the Oakland Athletics, 7-6, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Dave Moulton, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The winner was Enrique Ramirez in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Nick Rodriquez took the loss. The Rangers now own a record of 64-59.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Texas trailing 6-5, Moulton jumped on a changeup from two-time All-Star Nick Rodriquez and hit a 2-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Rangers had a walk-off win.

Moulton described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
