The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees, 9-3, in American League action at Yankee Stadium. Tom Monroe pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Toronto currently is in first place in the American League East Division at 76-47.
