Arizona Loses Again, 7-1
New York turned a good effort from starter Miguel Montoya into a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Citi Field. The Mets won the game, 7-1. The losses continue to pile up for Arizona, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

With New York leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Jayden Adams hit a 2-run single off Arizona pitcher Paul Cowles. It put the Mets ahead 5-0.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Montoya. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
