The Houston Astros got a stellar effort from pitcher Luis Rodas, helping Houston score a win over the visiting Cincinnati Reds, 3-2, in 11 innings. Houston reliever Chris Sanchez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Mark Langseth took the loss. The third-place Astros now have a win-loss record of 56-68.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Zack Atwood in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Langseth to win it for Houston and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"That was high adrenalin and it was fun," Rodas said.
