The Texas Rangers converted a terrific effort from starter Bill Robinson into a win over the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Rangers won the game by a final score of 7-1. The winning pitcher was Robinson, now 9-7. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. With the win, Texas upped its record to 62-62.

Texas used the hitting of Jules Roberts to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers on top, 5-0. For the game, Roberts had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
