It wasn't easy but Robby Thienes made it look that way.

Thienes silenced the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-0, in a Los Angeles Dodgers triumph at Busch Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Thienes said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 1 hit.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

This year, Thienes has fanned 112 in 133 innings and collected a 9-8 record with a 3.52 ERA.
