Nationals Get 4-1 Win Versus New York
|
Washington pitcher Jesus Duran did his part in helping his team defeat the New York Mets, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Washington is now 70-55.
The Nationals got a big at-bat from third baseman Danny Agurkis. For the game, Agurkis was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Washington a 2-0 lead.
"Jesus was in control from the top," said Washington manager Noah Fourie.
