Rangers Lose as Mariners Stage Late Rally
Alex Tarango left his imprint on the 7-5 Seattle win against the Texas Rangers. Tarango, who finished 5th in the AL in doubles with 51 in 2107, went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Seattle reliever Drew Goodwin was the winner. His record is now 4-6. Joe Jafar took the loss. Seattle, at 52-72, holds down last place in the American League West Division.

Tarango had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Joe Jafar, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Mariners a 7-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Tarango.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Tarango.
