Cubs Upend Hustle, 9-1
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Wrigley Field, taking down the Las Vegas Hustle, 9-1. Starting pitcher Jérémy Dumont was a big reason why. The winner was Dumont. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Jim Bush.

The Cubs ran into trouble in the top of the fourth. The score was 2-1, Chicago, with two out. Las Vegas, with the bases loaded, had Danny Valdez at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he popped out and the Cubs went on to win.

The Cubs are now 71-54, while the Hustle fall to 79-47.
