Guardians Win 2-1 Walk-Off
The Cleveland Guardians had to overcome a fine effort from Milwaukee pitcher Elijah Blackwell to win, 2-1, at Progressive Field. Blackwell went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Cleveland reliever Pablo Iglesias picked up the win, upping his record to 6-4. Jim Rainey took the loss. At 59-66, the Guardians find themselves in third place in the American League Central Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ramon Carrion in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Buskey to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Carrion told the Cleveland Bulletin.
