Giants Lose Versus Atlanta, 8-4
|
Coca-Cola Field was the site for National League action featuring the San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves.
Good production from third baseman Steve Redlin helped the Atlanta Braves topple the San Francisco Giants, 8-4. Redlin went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Braves. With the win, the Braves have a record of 62-64.
Redlin had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the fifth for the Braves. Coming up with the bases loaded and Atlanta trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"Steve leaves the last at-bat behind him, whether it was good or bad, and goes up there and competes on every pitch," said Atlanta manager Dan Hoagland.
