Tigers Earn 4-3 Win Against White Sox
|
Detroit beat Chicago at Comerica Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to shortstop Allan Alessi. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Tigers saw their win-loss record go to 61-65. At the same time, the White Sox fell to 66-62.
The Tigers procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Mike Knighten. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Chicago manager Bryce Reigns. "The effort was great."
