Mariners Win, Callahan hits 25th home run
|
Jaime Callahan led Seattle to a win over Texas. The final score was 8-2. The designated hitter collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Seattle reliever Tom Kingman picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. Ricardo Chavez absorbed the loss. With the win, Seattle raised its record to 81-45.
With Seattle leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Callahan hit a curveball from Ricardo Chavez for a 3-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 4-0.
