Brewers Claim 7-0 Triumph
The rain came, as predicted, but the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals were able to complete their ballgame.

The Milwaukee Brewers stymied the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-0, at Busch Stadium. Dave Cuozzo had a good day at the plate. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Milwaukee. Adam Gish earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 1-2.

With Milwaukee leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Cuozzo came up to bat against St. Louis pitcher Bill McEnerney. Cuozzo hit a changeup to right for a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Brewers on top, 3-0.

Cuozzo called the triumph "a good team win."

Milwaukee is 64-62 and St. Louis, with the loss, 67-59.
