Giants 3-1 Losers to Padres

At AT&T Park, the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The San Diego Padres faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Ben Bower, but did just enough to pull out the victory at AT&T Park by a final score of 3-1. Bower went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. San Diego reliever Bryant Sprague got the win, raising his record to 7-2. Ben Bower was tagged with the loss. Josh Morse closed out the game, earning his 10th save.
Brian Patrick had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for San Diego. He came through with a 2-run single to put San Diego in front, 3-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Patrick.
The 4th-place Giants dropped to 50-77.
