Brewers Suffer One-Run Loss at Washington
The Washington Nationals withstood an impressive performance by Milwaukee right fielder Eric Cobb to defeat the Brewers, 5-4, at Nationals Park. Cobb was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. The last-place Nationals now sit at 54-75.

Joaquin Reyes dealt the Brewers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Washington leading 4-1, Reyes, who finished 3rd in the NL in batting average with .319 last year, hit a 1-0 changeup for a run-scoring single.

Washington manager Doug Graff called it "a darn good win."
