Drooping Yankees Lose 6th Straight
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

New York first baseman Danny Gonzalez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Tampa Bay at Jon Nunez Sr. Stadium. Gonzalez went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. This loss makes it 6 in a row for New York.

Jay Burney was the walk-off hero for Tampa Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rays first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Burney told a Tampa Bay Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
