Baltimore Earn 3-2 Victory at Busch Stadium
|
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Busch Stadium, courtesy of Tony Aguirre. The left-hander helped his team stop the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Adam Baker. The third-place Orioles now have a record of 60-70.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Josh Robinson, the slugging left fielder . Robinson contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Baltimore up, 3-0.
Said losing manager Leyland Thomas: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."
