Brewers Solve Rangers, 3-2
|
Behind a fine performance from Joe Hardie, the Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Texas Rangers, 3-2. Hardie went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Brewers. Chris Hellige locked down his 8th save. The win boosts the Brewers to 54-76. The loss puts the Rangers at 68-64.
Milwaukee grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Hardie, who is on pace for 76 RBI this season, hit a 2-run home run. His 19th home run of the season put the Brewers out in front, 3-1.
In his postgame comments, Brewers manager Jon Graves heaped praise on Hardie. "For a young player, he's done a lot of good things for us."
