The Houston Astros picked up a win at Progressive Field, topping the Cleveland Guardians, 5-4. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Jim Grangroth. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Guardians have now dropped 8 straight.

With the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning, left fielder Dimas Chamissa delivered big for the Astros. Houston was trailing 4-3 when he belted a solo home run.

"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Cleveland manager Mike Nichols.
