Pirates Come Back Late, Nip Giants
|
Starting pitcher Ian Mignogna pitched well enough to help the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the San Francisco Giants, 4-3. With the win over San Francisco, the Pirates improved to 73-57.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Giants allowed the Pirates to score the winning run.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Salas.
