Royals Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a superb performance from pitcher Brian Hawkins, but the Kansas City Royals still won the game, 6-4. Hawkins threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The Royals now have a record of 64-67 with the win over Baltimore.
Kansas City took the lead, 6-2, on Antonio Alvarez's 19th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Baltimore pitcher Adam Baker in the top of the tenth.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Alvarez told the Kansas City Herald.
