Late Magic Gets Cincinnati 6-4 Win
New York shortstop Ryan Taylor had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Taylor hit 2 home runs, even as Cincinnati beat the Mets, 6-4. Cincinnati leads the National League Central Division by 10½ games.

B.J. Illiano aided the Cincinnati cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Illiano.
