Cubs Rally to Beat Phillies, 3-1
|
Chicago starter Aaron Hosey pitched well against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Chicago reliever Ryan Ahlstrom picked up the win to move to 4-0. Jason Boles suffered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Chicago.
Chicago got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Kyle Dellinger. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cubs ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it had a major impact on the outcome.
"The more wins we pile up," said Hosey, "the more I like our chances."
