Kenealy hits 2 home runs to Fuel Padres Offense
|
San Diego and Washington duked it out and the Padres came out victorious.
A good performance from first baseman Jeremy Kenealy helped the San Diego Padres defeat the Washington Nationals, 7-5. Kenealy slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Padres. The first-place Padres are now 80-52, the Nationals 63-71.
Ray Parker was 1 for 3 with a double for San Diego. The three-time Gold Glove Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Erik McFadden. It was his 82nd RBI of the season.
"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Parker told the San Diego Times.
