Reds Lose Versus Colorado, 7-5
|
Colorado Rockies starter Casey Neill pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Reds at Colorado Field, leading the Rockies to victory, 7-5. In 7 innings, Neill surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 4 runs. Colorado has a record of 73-60, placing them third in the National League Central Division.
Colorado took a 5-4 lead on Travis Parrish's 10th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Parrish hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cincinnati pitcher Willie Morel visibly frustrated.
Parrish told a Colorado Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
