Nationals Drop Brewers, 6-4
The excitement level at Nationals Park reached a crescendo in the final at-bat.

The Washington Nationals topped the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 6-4 in 10 innings. Leading the way was center fielder Ben Baker. Baker was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles for the Nationals. Washington reliever Danny Cruz snagged the win, upping his record to 9-6. Victor Portillo shouldered the loss.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Willie Serrano in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Gilbertson to win it for Washington and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This joint was rocking," said Baker.

The third-place Brewers now sit at 74-59.
