Nationals Rally For 4-3 Win
|
The Washington Nationals snuck past the New York Mets, 4-3, in 10 innings. Washington pitcher Jesus Duran, in particular, had a standout performance. Washington is now 76-59.
The decisive blow was delivered by German Castro in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Horan to win the game for Washington. The home crowd went nuts.
"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Nationals manager Noah Fourie. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
