Texas took on Houston in front of a lively crowd.

Texas right fielder Mike Perkins made his presence felt in the 7-4 Rangers triumph over the Houston Astros. Perkins went 2-4 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Brian Gottstein, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in complete games with 2, was the winner. He's now 6-5. The loser was Kihachi Okuhara.

Perkins contributed in the bottom of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Texas get the win.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Perkins said. "And the same is true when you lose."

The Texas win streak is now 3 games.
