Royals Hang 6-2 Loss on White Sox
|
Despite a great performance by Chicago shortstop Vinny Figueroa, the Kansas City Royals defeated the White Sox by the score of 6-2 at Kauffman Stadium. Figueroa went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. B.J. Edwards earned the save for Kansas City, his 15th of the year. The second-place Royals sport a record of 77-58.
In the bottom of the third, Mike Andreas delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 1st, the Kansas City right fielder hit a run-scoring double, putting the Royals in front, 6-2.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Andreas.
