The Milwaukee Brewers locked up a win at Safeco Field, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 5-3. On the mound for Milwaukee was left-hander Chad Coslow. He played a major role in the triumph. Coslow got the win, improving to 11-9. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Jay Courtney, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
Dave Cuozzo chipped in a solo home run for Milwaukee in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Chad mixed and matched," said Milwaukee manager Dan Silva.
