Blue Jays Win at Chicago, 6-3
|
Chicago got a terrific game from third baseman Ryan Builes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Toronto, 6-3. Builes was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. The winning pitcher was Jeff Olguin. He's now 12-3. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Blue Jays. The save went to Jayson Redd, his 24th this season.
Leo Partida drew 2 walks for Toronto. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Pete Bain. It was his 47th walk of the season.
Toronto manager Dan Silva attributed the win to "a little bit of this and a little bit of that."
The American League East Division-leading Blue Jays have a record of 88-49.
