Fowler Lifts Athletics to 6-2 Triumph
|
Randy Fowler helped his team muscle past the Texas Rangers, 6-2. In the game, the Oakland designated hitter was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Athletics go to 52-86 with the win.
Fowler had a key at-bat for Oakland early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Oakland an early 4-0 lead.
"The most important thing is that we won," Fowler said.
