Schmidt Leads Reds to 9-3 Win Over Brewers
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-3, at Great American Ball Park today. Leading the charge for Cincinnati was third baseman Erik Schmidt. He was 2-2 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Cincinnati's record now stands at 91-46, placing them first in the National League Central Division.

Rich Bruce made an early impact for Cincinnati when he stroked his 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with one out in the bottom of the second, put the Reds on top, 3-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Bruce said.
