Olmo, Dodgers March to 6-3 Victory
|
Los Angeles center fielder Rodolfo Olmo made his presence felt in the 6-3 Dodgers triumph over the San Francisco Giants. Olmo went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Los Angeles reliever Tyler Jones snagged the win, upping his record to 6-4. Yohsuke Otake shouldered the loss. The third-place Dodgers lifted their record to 67-70.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Dan Morrison came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Francisco pitcher Yohsuke Otake, he hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Los Angeles on top, 4-3.
"It's good to win," Olmo told the Los Angeles Gazette. "I like to have fun doing it."
