Blue Jays Win, Coleman slugs 2 home runs
|
Blue Jays first baseman Collin Coleman put his stamp on his team's 10-3 win over the New York Yankees. Coleman was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Toronto in the contest. The Blue Jays improved to 94-45.
Dennis Desper dealt the Yankees a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Toronto leading 1-0, Desper, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a .889 OPS, hit a 1-2 slider for a 2-run single.
"I believe in our guys," said Toronto skipper Dan Silva. "I like the energy they're playing with."
