Rockies Get Past Atlanta for 5-4 Win
Ruben Velazquez, who is tied for 9th in the NL with a 1.17 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Colorado Rockies to a 5-4 win against the Atlanta Braves at Colorado Field. The winner in relief was Lance Broski. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Jon Torres closed it out for his 25th save.

Colorado took a 5-4 lead on Bobby Young's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Young hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Atlanta pitcher Jaime Cotton visibly frustrated.

Colorado goes to 70-67, Atlanta to 63-74.
