In 10, Cincinnati Beats Washington, 3-2
|
The Cincinnati Reds racked up a win at Great American Ball Park, bumping off the Washington Nationals, 3-2, in 10 innings. Curtis Moore, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. Cincinnati pitcher Ron Boone got the win, upping his record to 5-1. Seth Kurkowski got the loss. Cincinnati has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
The Reds got a clutch hit from left fielder Pat Warner. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Reds.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Moore.
