Astros Deal Angels 6-4 Defeat

The Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 6-4, at Minute Maid Park. Leading the charge for Houston was designated hitter Edwin Oliva. He went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Luis Urias in relief. His record improves to 1-11. Fred Szilagyi took the loss for Los Angeles. The third-place Astros now have a record of 65-76.
Grant Goff, who finished 4th in the NL in RBI with 120 in 2107, helped out the Houston cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances.
