Atlanta Braves starter Andy Bourdeau kept the New York Mets hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-0 win. With the win, the Braves improved to 71-68.

Bourdeau was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 17-5. In 8.2 innings of work, Bourdeau gave up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 10. The Mets were never able to generate much offense.
