Dawley Powers Red Sox Offense
|
The Boston Red Sox topped the Houston Astros, 7-0, the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Travis Dawley. On the day, Dawley went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Red Sox. The 4th-place Red Sox now have a record of 70-71.
With Boston leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Dawley hit a sinker from Luis Rodas for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 4-0.
"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Dawley.
