Chicago took on San Francisco in front of a lively crowd.

San Francisco wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Men Pimentel, falling to the Chicago Cubs, 5-2. Pimentel threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The Cubs now own a record of 78-62.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Tommy Ash to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cubs on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said San Francisco manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
