Los Angeles Upended, 6-3, by Toronto
|
Los Angeles right fielder Ed Miller had a good game, even if his team did not. The Angels dropped a 6-3 decision to Toronto at Rogers Centre. Miller was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The win belonged to Victor Urueta in relief. His record improves to 8-4. Fred Szilagyi took the loss for Los Angeles. Bryan Bassett closed the door for Toronto, picking up his 10th save of the year.
Marcos Iniguez, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in a 2-run home run for Toronto in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It was our day today," Iniguez told the Toronto Citizen. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
Toronto leads the American League East Division by 8 games.
