The Minnesota Twins got a stellar performance from pitcher Josh Schumann, who handcuffed the Tampa Bay offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Jon Nunez Sr. Stadium. The winning pitcher was Schumann, now 12-7. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Picking up the save was Jeff Olguin, his 2nd.

Minnesota took a 4-2 lead on William Maki's 15th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Tampa Bay pitcher Manuel Barrientes in the top of the seventh.

"Don't let his youth fool you," said Twins manager Chris Greuling. "Josh knows what he's doing out there."

The Twins now have a record of 76-66 with the win over Tampa Bay.
