Rangers Lose to Reds, 6-3
|
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Texas Rangers, 6-3, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Jamie Schexnider, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Cincinnati reliever Josh Blackburn got the win, raising his record to 10-3. Ricardo Chavez was tagged with the loss. With the win, Cincinnati raised its record to 95-48.
Schexnider came through with some timely hitting for Cincinnati. With Texas trailing 3-2 in the top of the sixth, Schexnider hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season made it 4-3, Cincinnati.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Schexnider.
