Orioles Suffer One-Run Loss at Texas
Globe Life Park in Arlington was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

Starting pitcher Darius Shaheed gave the Texas Rangers a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Shaheed picked up the win for Texas, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-7. Josh Payne recorded the save, making him 21 for 26.

Texas shortstop Barrett Youngs contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 51st hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 2-0.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Shaheed. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
