Blue Jays Pick Up 2-1 Win Against Kansas City
The Toronto Blue Jays rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Pedro Sandoval to a win, beating the Kansas City Royals, 2-1, at Kauffman Stadium. Seth Jinks earned the save for Toronto, his 11th. With the win, Toronto upped its record to 87-56.

Hector Amador, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2101 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Amador contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put Toronto up, 2-0.

"I'm happy we won," said Sandoval. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
