Nationals Take Tight Tangle
The Washington Nationals topped the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4, at Miller Park. Washington pinch hitter Matt Steinkamp was a spark plug for the offense. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Bryan Trevino in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ray Dunham took the loss. Dallas Cart finished to wrap up his 40th save.

Bubba McGinnis came through with a big-time hit for Washington. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Milwaukee manager Danny Post.

The Nationals saw their record improve to 60-85.
