Reds Top Rangers to Even Record
|
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Texas Rangers, 4-3, in National League action at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Dallas, Texas, native Aaron Rosenkranz. Mark Langseth came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. The Reds now own a record of 72-72.
Cincinnati needed the clutch hitting of Nick Wade to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Reds on top, 4-3. For the game, Wade had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I was a little disappointed," said Texas manager Stephen Gesualdi. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
