Washington Gets 4-3 Win
|
The Washington Nationals and Texas Rangers played an exciting game.
The Washington Nationals turned back the Texas Rangers, 4-3, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Jose Orozco, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. William Palmer, the winning pitcher, improved to 10-11. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0.
Isaiah Williams, the 2090 Most Valuable Player Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Williams contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Texas skipper Stephen Gesualdi.
