Twins Come Up Short at Baltimore, 6-5
|
The Baltimore Orioles handed the Minnesota Twins a loss at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The final score was 6-5. Tyler Cone was one of the major contributors for Baltimore. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 2. Roland Nobilo earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 12-4. Baltimore now has a record of 81-65 with the win.
Baltimore took a 6-4 lead on Brian Lannigan's 18th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Lannigan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minnesota pitcher Ron Hazard visibly frustrated.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Cone. "Just do my job."
