Lara Rips 2 Home Runs in 10-6 Nationals Triumph
The Washington Nationals downed the Texas Rangers, 10-6. The hitting star was first baseman Jose Lara. Lara hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Nationals. The loss makes Texas 77-70.

Washington used the bat of Luis Rivera to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Nationals ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Rivera told the Washington Times.
