The Los Angeles Angels faced a tough opponent in Houston pitcher Yao-pang Yun, but found a way to pull out the victory at Angel Stadium of Anaheim by a final score of 3-2 in 12 innings. Yun went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Angels upped their record to 74-74.

Los Angeles got a knockout punch from Steve Simon. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place went berserk," Simon said.
