Drooping Braves Lose 6th Straight
|
Behind a fine performance from Bobby Harris, the New York Mets knocked off the Atlanta Braves, 9-5. Harris was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Mets. New York has now won 4 straight.
Ed Miller came through with a big-time hit for New York. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Miller.
