Athletics Lose By a Run at Texas
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics, 30-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Cavazos was the difference-maker. The Texas right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The win gives Texas a season record of 81-67.
Barrett Youngs helped out the Texas cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman was 1-2 with a double.
Afterward, Rangers manager Stephen Gesualdi was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
